We are excited to host the Conference of the Gesellschaft für Primatologie in 2027 at the German Primate Center in Göttingen.
For this meeting, we welcome contributions from all disciplines concerned with the study of nonhuman primates. These include, but are not limited to, veterinary sciences, evolutionary biology, animal cognition, behavioral ecology, animal welfare, neuroscience, ecology, and comparative psychology.
A central goal of the meeting is to encourage scientific exchange and interaction. We therefore aim to provide a lively and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for informal conversations and discussions alongside the poster sessions and talks, as well as during the reception and the conference dinner.
We particularly encourage PhD and Master’s students to submit proposals for talks and posters. We believe that the meeting provides an excellent forum for early-career researchers to connect with colleagues and present their work to the wider scientific community. The GfP recognizes the three best student poster presentations and the three best student oral presentations with prizes.
We are committed to fostering an open, inclusive, and diversity-friendly environment where researchers from all backgrounds feel welcome. Our conference embraces a respectful and supportive atmosphere for all participants, regardless of career stage, discipline, or personal background. Please note that for logistical reasons, the maximum number of participants is limited to 170 and the registration will close earlier in the unlikely case that we receive more than 170 registrations.
